Miss Irune is excellent. She is obviously a confident, highly competent and qualified specialist and surgeon. She is lively, personable, explains processes and procedures, symptoms and prognoses in a manner relevant to the patient. She also has an appropriate sense of humour. Altogether a joy as a consultant.

I am so lucky to have been treated by Miss Irune. From the very first consultation I felt absolutely certain that I wanted to be in her care throughout the course of my complex condition; from diagnostics, to the surgery itself, and aftercare. With her clear and thorough explanations, combined with impeccable bedside manner and compassion, there was no doubt in my mind I was in the best hands. Words cannot fully express how grateful I am, nor do justice to the wonderful Consultant Miss Irune is. In short, she is my hero.
Thank you for your generous words. It was an absolute pleasure and privilege. All the best for the future.

Apart from a number of cancelled appointments, my overall experience with Miss Irune was very positive. The outcome of my procedure was very good and I would recommend her.
Thank you for the review. It was a pleasure to look after you. I’m sorry the hospital was not in a position to deliver the surgery initially. I am however glad we were able to have a rethink and get your open pharyngeal pouch operation done.

Ms Irune quickly diagnosed the symptoms and offered a treatment which removed the muffling I had suffered over a month. She is very professional and pleasant.
Thank you for this generous feedback.

The care that I received was the best medical treatment that I have ever received. Everything was communicated in such a clear way and questions were answered in a clear and concise way whilst also giving me options. I am an anxious patient and particularly appreciated Miss Irune picking that up and finding a way to help me feel relaxed in a way that suits me (directness with some added humour). I would absolutely recommend Miss Irune and in fact already have.
It was a pleasure to look after you. Thank you for your very kind feedback.

She was incredibly clear about what she was doing and what the outcomes I would expect to see would be. The treatment was very successful and I’m happy to be breathing much better through my nose again!
Thank you for your kind feedback.

I have been extremely pleased with my treatment, from my initial appointment to diagnostic surgery and discharge. Miss Irune has a quietly confident bedside manner. She thoroughly explains what investigations are necessary, sets out a clear treatment plan and describes what is to be expected before and after surgery. Miss Irune also has a very helpful and sympathetic secretary.
Thank you for your very kind feedback. Glad you are doing well.

Ekpemi Irune is a great colleague. We have shared patients in both the NHS and private sector. She is a talented, skilled, ethical and dedicated ENT surgeon. We have done complex cases together and she has also helped my patients following loss of their recurrent laryngeal nerve as part of very extensive lung cancer thoracic surgery.
