Dr Sanjay Mehta graduated from Imperial College London in 2013 and has completed a further Bachelor of Science degree in Haematology. He has since been dual accredited with Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) and more recently, Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP).
Dr Mehta joined The London General Practice, Harley Street, as a General Practitioner in 2018, where he also holds the role of Clinical Audit Lead. He initially worked at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge University Hospitals, covering several medical, psychiatric and surgical specialties, prior to undertaking his General Practice Speciality Training within the Oxford deanery, predominantly at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. He has since worked in NHS GP practices in both London and Oxford, as well as in COVID hubs during the pandemic. In addition, he has previously worked for a leading private online consultation platform.
Dr Mehta has completed a Diploma of Child Health from the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health. He has also jointly published original research in the Archives of Disease in Childhood during a paediatric post at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford and presented the findings at a national conference at Somerville College, University of Oxford.
In 2021, Dr Mehta was appointed as Specialist Advisor for the Care Quality Commission (CQC), advising on Primary Medical Services and Integrated Care.
Dr Mehta has acted as a Medical Consultant for the BBC and regularly comments in the national press, including The Times, on various health topics.

I had an excellent experience with Dr Mehta who conducted my genetic tests; they were thorough, compassionate, and took the time to explain every detail of the process. Their expertise and clear communication made a potentially daunting process both reassuring and informative.

Extremely caring and diligent

I had visited Dr Mehta with severe stomach pain. He was very kind and heard me patiently and also ruled out my symptoms immediately. Lucky to say I was in good hands! I highly recommend Dr Mehta because he will make you feel alright in no time!

Dr Mehta came to my husband after his a very bad fall, subsequent surgery and repatriation by air ambulance. He was professional, knowledgeable and reassurance, gave a thorough examination including blood tests, checked and prescribed medication and provided an ongoing service. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Dr Mehta. His care has been invaluable to us.
