Mrs Claire Freeman is a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon based New Hall Hospital in Salisbury. She has treated a wide spectrum of foot issues over the last 30 years and aims to promote functional mobility and encourage people to stay fit and healthy. She provides conservative care and surgery for pathologies of the skin, soft tissue, and bone.
Since 2014 she has performed over 2,000 foot surgery procedures including:
- 450 digital procedures
- 500 HAV corrections
- 230 1st MTPJ Cheilectomy+/- osteotomies
- 50 1st MTPJ fusions
Mrs Freeman studied podiatry at the University of Brighton in 1995 and developed a passion for movement and biomechanics. She went on to undertake a master's degree in theory of podiatric surgery and earned her fellowship of the Royal College of Podiatry Surgery (FRCPodS) in 2010.
In addition to her clinical work, Mrs Freeman is a guest lecturer on the sports medicine master's programme at Queen Mary University of London. She is also a tutor with the Faculty of Podiatric Surgery.

Mrs Freeman is very professional, she is kind, she understands a patient and their situation, I trust her completely and that she can help me with my medical issue. Would highly recommend, I don't think I could ask for anyone more qualified.

Procedure explained clearly. Was impressed with how quick the procedure was and was kept calm in theatre. Mrs Freeman explained exactly what was happening throughout and good choice of music!
Did you like my singing to...I am know as the singing surgeon..it just bubbles out of me when I'm happy, and nothing make me happier than doing some great surgery

From initial consultation to post op the whole experience was very positive. The operation has been a good experience, the bunion correction gave me very little pain, which was managed well. I now find it has even helped my posture as I stand up straighter when walking. So I am thrilled & thoroughly reccomend Ms Freeman.
You have touched on some very good point here, especially that fact that good foot posture leads to better walking and body posture- thank you for taking the time to write this

Mrs Freeman took her time to explain the procedure and recovery time to me. She was pleasant and answered all of my questions.

Top professional, kind and caring. Very clear explanations, very patient and understanding, despite me having lots of questions. She was always available during the recovery to reply to my emails and reassure me, help me manage the process.
