I found Mr Rai to be very good , he explained the diagnosis, procedure, risks etc .He came before the surgery and afterwards making sure that everything was okay . He kept in touch and arranged for my follow up appointment. The only thing I would mention is that as I was self funding , a more detailed breakdown of the overall costs would have been helpful as I assumed that the appointment's after the surgery with Dr Rai would have been included in the Consultant fee .

I could not recommend Mr Mokawem enough after the treatment and care he has given me for my scoliosis. Every appointment we had, we are always approached with a reassuring and calm manner, and feeling fully informed on our possible options. We were meant to go ahead with surgery, yet after the Multi-Disciplinary Meeting took place, we were told that in my current position, they should not operate until further investigation had taken place. This just shows how incredible this team is, willing to postpone the surgery as something was not quite adding up. However, after thorough investigation, the surgery went ahead. He always left me choice throughout this process, listing all of the benefits and drawbacks of each stage. I was operated on at the RNOH, and almost every day, Mr Mokawem would come and see me. On around day 3, he came in and asked me if I wanted to stand and go for a short walk. I didn’t as this was one of the days I felt the most sore, but after some time chatting with him, he reassured me and supported me to push myself. I could not be more grateful for Mr Mokawem and his team’s care, and would highly recommend him to anyone! He has been hugely reassuring both to me and my parents.

I was very nervous about having an operation on my spine but Mr. Prezerakos's thorough explanation of my medical situation and how the operation would be conducted gave me the confidence to go ahead with the procedure. He didn't deny that there could be complications but his clear explanation helped me to realise that these were manageable risks and that the benefits outweighed the relatively minor chances of something not going to plan. The outcome has been incredible, whereas before the operation I could only walk a short distance without needing to rest because of the pain around my hips and thighs, I now have no pain whatsoever when walking and only minor discomfort around the incision wound, its just over 4 weeks since I had the operation and I'm confident that even that small discomfort will soon be a distant memory.

Mr Al-Ani is a warm charming man, I felt immediately at ease with him. I was very anxious going in to the hospital so his welcome made a world of difference. His explanation of my condition and plan to go forward was exceptional and I am very grateful for his care.

Dr. Yeh is is very patient person and tried his best to explain to me what my problem was and what would be the best solution for me. Everything was very clear after my second visit. He was also very professional in terms of what tests need to be done to identify the real problem causing my backpain. After seeing the results, referred me to a very good specialist for physical therapy. He is following up with me on a regular basis to make sure that I am getting better and my treatment goes well. Overall I had a very positive experience with Dr Lui. He was clear, explained the science behind what was causing me issues and very rational with respect to his recommendations. He made me feel very comfortable in understanding where the problem originated from and recommendations of treatment.

He was really kind and explained everything really well. Took time to listen to me and believed my pain, I appreciated that. He also booked everything in quickly and it was effortless, thank you!

I had a nerve problem in my back causing severe pain. Two other specialists had told me I either needed to live with the pain or have an operation. Mr Aylott examined me and explained that I had other choices. Within a week I had a spinal injection and have been painfree since. Mr Aylott is thorough, kind, highly professional and skilled.
