To take a case that had long been beyond the reach of NHS dogma; to deconstruct it and then elementally re-combine the components around a single evidence backed core explanation, was an absolute object lesson in how academic and free-thinking medicine can be conducted to the benefit of the patient, their family and support networks. Dr Animesh Singh is a rare example of compassionate professional who very patiently listened my complicated case and explained to me his point of view in a very clear and polite manner.
