Explanation

For years I felt like I am fighting the NHS and for the first time in my life felt like I had someone fighting in my corner with the pain I am in due to my back. He explained things well even explaining if I had been a teenager or older than I am now he would have done the operation but that being my age I am it is too risky leaving me struggling more in other ways.

Explanation

I was under the care of Mr Casey for two surgeries in 2019 and have since seen him for follow ups and spinal injections. His expertise supersedes that of all of the other spinal surgeons I consulted. He was always very attentive to my needs and carefully assessed my case in light of my description of the levels of pain, the scans, weighing carefully the benefits of a surgical intervention vs its risks. Mr Casey is extremely knowledgeable of the field in Britain and beyond, and is not afraid to recommend consulting his colleagues to seek second opinions. I very much appreciate his conservative approach to surgery — he genuinely wants you to avoid having surgery unless absolutely necessary. He has always explained everything clearly and helpfully and answered all my questions. You really feel you are in the hands of a very experienced and professional expert who cares for you. His PA is also very helpful and prompt. I cannot recommend Mr Casey more highly.
