Mr Tarek Abdel-Aziz is a Consultant General Surgeon specialising in Endocrine Surgery based in London at Cleveland Clinic London Hospital and Cleveland Clinic Portland Place Outpatient Centre. He has specialist expertise in adrenal surgery, thyroid surgery, thyroidectomy and throat cancer surgery.
Mr Abdel-Aziz completed his primary medical degree at Alexandria University, Egypt in 2001. Following this, he was accepted into a highly competitive general surgery residency programme and was awarded his Master of Surgery degree from Alexandria University in 2006. Following his training and education in Egypt, he later moved to the UK and was awarded his Membership with the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2009. In 2012, Mr Abdel-Aziz was awarded his MD from University College London for his research surrounding stem cells and organ function. Following this, he undertook a prestigious fellowship in endocrine surgery at Oxford University Hospitals and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2016. In 2020, he was awarded his Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
Alongside his work at Cleveland Clinic, Mr Abdel-Aziz is the Chairman of the Thyroid Cancer Multidisciplinary Meeting at University College London Hospitals and an Honorary Associate Professor at University College London.

Mr Abdel-Aziz is a very caring and responsible Surgeon. He listens to one's concerns carefully and provide all the support that he can. He is very clear in giving information and this helps in making an informed decision towards my treatment. He uses simple terms to explain and sometimes even drawings to explain. This helped me a lot. He is very thorow in his physical examination He is very skilled, knowledgeable and responsible. He shows great compassion and empathy.

Endocrinology & DiabetesMr Abdel-Aziz is an excellent surgeon who is specialised in thyroid problems. He has excellent communication and personal skills. He is a highly skilled surgeon. He is caring and understanding and will explain all scenarios before making a decision with the patient. He is always praised by his patients for her professional attitude. Mr Abdel-Aziz performs the entire range of Endocrine Surgery procedures including thyroid cancer, adrenal, keyhole and open parathyroid operations. He is extensively involved in teaching and research. I would highly recommend him.
