Professor Richard Schilling received his medical degree from St Thomas' Hospital in London, UK, in 1989. After completing cardiology training in Hull and London, he became a consultant at Barts in 2000. In 2009, he was named chair of cardiology and electrophysiology. He was also a member of the team that oversaw the merging of the Heart and Barts hospitals, which is one of Europe's largest heart centres.Â
He formerly worked as the strategy director at Barts Hospital as well as the medical director at the Arrhythmia Alliance and the Atrial Fibrillation Association. He serves as Rhythm AI's non-executive chair. He was previously the deputy clinical director at Nightingale Hospital London.
Prof. Schilling is the current president of the British Heart Rhythm Society.
