I’ve had a complicated case of what has turned out to be inflammation around the prostrate. As background, I’ve had 2 HIFU procedures 10 years apart. There is no evidence to suggest that the inflammation is connected to any HIFU treatment. On 2 separate occasions in the last 2 years the inflammation signal on the MRI showed possible cancer in the semi vesicles coupled with a rising PSA. Professor Emberton arranged additional scans and a biopsy within a 2 week period. Fortunately, on both occasions the biopsies were clear. I’m truly grateful for his immediate attention particularly given his busy schedule. Thank you both to him and his Medical Secretary, Yasmine.
