Professor Christopher Eden, Consultant Urologist Surgeon works at The Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford, UK. He is a specialist with a specific interest in urological and prostate cancers.

He later went on to be awarded a fellowship by the Royal College of Surgeons in 1995 and was awarded a Master of Surgery in 1997. During his surgical training, he became a pioneer of laparoscopy urological surgery and was the first UK surgeon to perform a laparoscopic pyeloplasty in 1994. He continued this trend by performing the first radical prostatectomy in 2000, the first laparoscopic radical cystectomy in 2001, the first robotic Retzius-sparing radical prostatectomy in 2016, and the first laparoscopic Retzius-sparing radical prostatectomy in 2016.
His current work positions are a Professor of Urology at the University of Surrey, a consultant urological surgeon in The Royal Surrey Hospital, and is co-director of Santis in London. Prof Eden has a significant publication history publishing over 50 peer-reviewed papers on laparoscopic urology, 9 book chapter, and a book.
