Professor Alastair Sutcliffe

Professor Alastair Sutcliffe is a Consultant in Paediatric medicine with HCA Healthcare at The Portland Hospital, along with an NHS role at University College London Hospital. He is a specialist in both general and adolescent paediatrics and is the Lead of a secondary epilepsy clinic.

He was awarded his Medical Degree in Manchester and completed a rotational training scheme in Paediatrics, including a post to The National Children's Hospital. He was appointed Consultant at the Royal Free Hosptial in 2001 where he stayed for 5 years before moving to UCLH. He continued his studies and was awarded an MD from UCL and a PhD from the University of Brussels for his research into children born following IVF treatments. His outstanding academic and professional background led to his appointment as principle contributor to the British National Formulary for Children and the Associate Director of London South East London Research Network
