Explanation

My daughter, Georgia, is a competitive swimmer, who inexplicably had a blackout whilst driving. After 8 days of hospital investigations, she was discharged from Chesterfield hospital, with a lot of uncertainties about her heart, but no certain diagnosis. After one consultation at St George’s, which included ECGs, echo ultrasound and a vigorous exercise test, Prof. Sharma was able to give us significant peace of mind. Georgia’s ECG was absolutely normal for an athlete. Prof. Sharma's clinical assistant, Zeph, was professional, with a friendly manner. Prof. Sharma was personable, he put us at ease, but was able to explain technical aspects with clarity. We left, feeling much happier. We still need to understand why Georgia had a blackout, but we have confidence now that her heart is very healthy.

Professor Sharma clearly understood the reason for my consultation with him. He listened carefully and asked many relevant questions. He took account of all my recent medical data and provided extremely helpful advice, about my proposed high altitude trek, about the impact of my present medication, and provided a very clear view about my anticipated heart condition over the next few years. His bedside manner was outstanding. One of the best medical assessments and consultations I have ever had. Thank you
