My name is Andrew Webster and I have decided to write this testimony in order to honour the great work carried out by Professor Viswanath and his team at the Nuffield Hospital, Teesside. I would highly recommend the Professor as his knowledge and skill relating to Gastro related issues is second to none. The treatment, surgery and after care I received from the Professor and his team was exceptional. I have suffered with heartburn and acid reflux for over 30 years and had been on Omaprazole for over 20 years which helped control the symptoms but was never really a long term cure. My GP recommended I have a break from the Omaprazole as it can have long term side effects, so In 2020 I came off the Omaprazole and started using Rennies, Gaviscon, etc amongst other over the counter medication to try and control my symptoms. These worked to an extent but proved costly due to the amount I was requiring and it became a burden having to take them after every meal or drink. In late 2024 I decided I needed a new longer term solution to my condition. Using my medical insurance i started to look for local Gastro consultants in the area based in Teesside. This is where i first came across Professor Viswanath. He had excellent testimony's from previous patients and so I made an appointment to see him and the Nuffield Hospital in Norton, Teesside. This was the second time that I had been under the care of Professor Viswanath and following my previous surgery I had no hesitation in slecting him again for this second procedure. At every step of the way he was very professional, took time to explain my condition and the best path forward. He was also flexible in accomodating some restirctions I had with respect to timing and recovery from surgery.

Prof Vish has been great, this is the 2nd time of going through this journey and I find him very open and supportive
