Dr Priyanka Chandratre is a Consultant Rheumatologist who sees private patients at the BMI Priory Hospital.

Dr Chandratre qualified as a doctor at the University Of Wales in 2005, after which, she undertook her basic medical training in West and East Midlands respectively. She then undertook her specialist Rheumatology training in Liverpool and also gained her primary care research fellowship with the NIHR. Once completed, she was appointed Consultant at the Sandwell & West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust, in 2017. Since her appointment, Dr Chandratre has received numerous accolades, including the "Clinical Excellence Award" in 2019 for her high standard of services within the Rheumatology department. For her contribution to clinical services, teaching, training and research, she was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (London) in 2021.

Dr Chandratre's special interests are in auto-inflammatory diseases such as crystal arthritis and Behcet's syndrome. She is the first author of the chapter on crystal arthritis in the European League Against Rheumatism compendium textbook. She is developing into the role of the lead for the National Centre of Excellence for Behcet's Disease. She has been the lead for community Rheumatology services within her NHS trust. Dr Chandratre has published in peer reviewed journals and presented nationally and internationally. She is also a tutor for 3rd and 4th year medical students and delivers peer led teaching to multi-specialty colleagues. Dr Chandratre enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and music in her spare time.
