Dr Raju has been involved in service developments and was one of the first in the county to apply the groundbreaking shockwave lithotripsy heart technique in the treatment of complex calcified coronary disease. As a result of his services, he was awarded The Clinical Excellence Award by the Kettering NHS Trust and he has also featured in national ITV and BBC Radio Northampton interviews for his innovative approach to treating heart conditions. His work was also published in the Northamptonshire Telegraph newspaper.
Dr Raju gained his MB BS in 2000 and received his postgraduate certification from the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2006. He is accredited in Internal Medicine as well as Cardiology. His specialist postgraduate cardiology training was completed at hospitals in Grantham, Derby, Glenfield, and Lincoln. He also completed an Interventional Fellowship at Kettering General Hospital during which he performed high-volume coronary interventions.
