Mr. Pejman Kheirandish is an experienced Consultant Urological surgeon with almost 15 years experience in the diagnosis and management of urological conditions,
In addition to managing general and common urological conditions such as prostate diseases , penoscrotal pathologies , UTI, Kidney stones etc. he is the only trained Andrologist in east Kent area receiving referrals from colleagues in Kent for patients suffering from erectile dysfunction, ejaculatory disorders , male infertility , penile curvature(Peyronie's disease), male hormone deficiency and chronic testicular pain . Mr Kheirandish has introduced microsurgical surgery for varicocele and chronic testicular pain to Kent and Canterbury hospital
Mr Kheirandish is currently the Lead for the stone service at Kent & Canterbury hospital . Mr Kheirandish performs complex stone surgeries and with the help of his team recently introduced a new technique in treating large kidney stones ( Mini supine PCNL) which has significantly reduced the complications of such surgery
He is also the current departmental Education Lead at Kent and Canterbury hospital
He sees private patients at the BMI Chaucer Hospital in Canterbury as well as Spencer wing private Hospitals in Margate .
Mr. Kheirandish earned his medical degree at Tehran University in 1998, after which he came to the UK in 2000 to undertake his basic surgical training in Lancaster, and later gained a fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons in 2005 . He has taken the time to undertake research in molecular oncology of prostate cancer and phytochemical therapy, at the Barts Cancer Institute. Upon completion of this research, Mr. Kheirandish entered specialist urology training in west Yorkshire , which encompassed various aspects of urologic surgery , allowing him to have a comprehensive view of general and subspecialised urology. He was awarded his Certificate of Completion of Training upon completion in 2016.
Mr. Kheirandish then completed an andrology fellowship at Western General Hospital, Edinburgh in 2017 and was later appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Kent at the East Kent Hospitals University Trust in 2017 .
