Dr Shahla Ahmed is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist specialising in gynaecological ultrasound and colposcopy. She graduated in 1987 from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in 1987. Dr Ahmed's experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology is vast as she then went on to further train in several hospitals, including Nottingham City hospital, the National University Hospital in Singapore and St. Mary's Hospital. She completed a thesis studying the effects of HIV on the cervix at the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine.

Dr Ahmed first became a Consultant in 2007 at St Mary's Hospital in London. She has expertise in the treatment and management of several gynaecological and obstetric conditions and has a special interest in managing women with abnormal smear tests, menopause, early pregnancy problems such as ectopic pregnancies and miscarriages. Her extensive experience allow her to provide the highest quality of care to the women she treats.

Outside of her clinical work, Dr Ahmed is the Undergraduate Lead for obstetrics and gynaecology at Imperial College London. Her NHS practice is based at St. Mary's Hospital, where she also practices privately in the Lindo Wing. She also practices privately at OneWelbeck located on London's Welbeck Street.
