Excellent, compassionate and heartfelt! I had to wait to see Sam as she was very busy. It was worth it as it has been life changing. As soon as I had my first session, I felt very much cared for and in her care- if it was a particularly difficult week, she encouraged me to contact her if I needed too, she reached out to other medical professionals to support my care, and she would find an extra appointment if I forgot to book one on her clinic day. Sam is genuinely invested in being with her patients and helping them through life. Thanks again.

Explanation

Excellent. I saw Sam for panic attacks which had left me unable to work. She described how the brain, anxiety and the body works, and I tackled the panic in 3/4 sessions with the knowledge and skills she gave me. BUT more so from the start, Sam said she would treat my panic first as it was obviously so debilitating for me AND she wanted to understand why I had panic in the first place. In her words, she doesn’t just want to put a bandaid on the panic, she wants to treat what caused it so I don’t have panic or other extreme anxiety again. Some anxiety is normal, I’ve learnt that! So we spent time to understand the underlying problems and worked on those for which I am forever grateful. It’s not just the awareness of my issues at a deeper level but the skills she gave me to manage them throughout my life. I would recommend her absolutely.

Sam is a big advocate of just enabling people to understand what it is to be a human being and so to live more peacefully. She was the first person and therapist who helped me understand all about my emotions -why I have them; where they come from; how they are an important and normal part of life; and most importantly for me- how to live with the inevitable ups and downs of them. I liked that she was able to explain everything that she had learnt relevant to me and also recommend great and accessible books on philosophy and psychology to help me reach my goals. I am definately 'being' a human being now rather than just 'doing and doing'. Thank you so very very much.

Mrs Samantha Farag has given a crucial support during a very difficult moment in my life. I did connect quickly and easily with her as I found her approach very much balanced between giving guidance but also helping the patient to find their own energy/resources to fight back against adversities. My sessions with Sam have made me stronger and I actually found the energy to find a new job. Thank you I will never forget.

Spending time with Sam was really beneficial for me. In our sessions she allowed me to open up and she was instrumental into me heading towards and then gaining a diagnosis of Type II BiPolar. As such, I was then in the additional care of a Psychiatrist. Sam managed to make the whole experience of being looked after by two mental health professionals entirely joined up and effortless for me. For me this was the start point of a new path for my life, and for that I am truly grateful.

I credit Sam for enabling me to put the pieces of myself back together again. She deeply listens, probes, exhibits empathy but can be no nonsense and deliver the killer question that helps you to unlock issues. Sam recognises the strains a business leader can be under and whilst my issues were personal vs work related her impact helped me evaluate and improve my whole life. Sam literally helped me get on my feet again when I hit my darkest hour. I took time out, trusted her process and now have tools to use to ensure I don’t get knocked off kilter again. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

I really valued Sam's approach. She made me realise that therapy is goal orientated with a view to getting better, rather than a general chit chat about philosophical questions.
