    About

Ms Lucy Pritchard is an HCPC registered dietitian specialising in gut disorders and digestive health. She was appointed specialist gastroenterology dietitian at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust in 2007 and set up her private practice at Tavistock Physiotherapy Clinic and Nuffield Hospital Plymouth in 2017. Ms Pritchard specialises in the management of IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), irritable bowel disease (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis), coeliac disease, and diverticular disease. She has considerable experience in the use of the low FODMAP diet, the LOFFLEX diet, dietary fibre, and gluten-free diets. She is also able to help clients with weight management and food intolerance.

Ms Pritchard uses evidence-based nutrition to help her clients and provides personalised dietary and lifestyle advice to help them achieve their long-term goals. She understands the difficulties that come with interpreting complex diet advice and information and is able to provide non-judgemental support to her clients to help them in their journey to health and well-being.

Ms Pritchard gained her postgraduate diploma in dietetics from the University of Wales Institute in 2004. She went on to study the low FODMAP diet for functional gastrointestinal disorders at King's College London in 2012 before applying for and earning a prestigious Health Education England (HEE)/National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) studentship to complete a master's in clinical research at the University of Plymouth.
