Ms Lucia Pelosini is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon with a special interest in cataract and corneal surgery. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Pisa and went on to complete her surgical training at the internationally renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital. She has since completed a prestigious Fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at Western Eye Hospital. She has also completed an MD at the University of London.

Ms Pelosini won the Best Poster Presentation Prize at the Royal Society of Medicine Ophthalmology Annual Meeting in 2009, 2010 and 2012 and was the winner of the Robert Hardwick Postgraduate Innovation Prize at Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust in 2012.

Ms Pelosini is the author of over 20 peer reviewed publications in academic journals. She has conducted innovative research in macular imaging and is regularly invited to present academic papers in national and international meetings.
