She has been trained at South-East London Deanery rotation, including UK's prestigious tertiary fertility units; the Assisted Conception Unit, Guys and St' Thomas' as Clinical research fellow and the Centre for Reproductive Medicine, St Bartholomew's Hospital as RCOG accredited Sub-speciality fellow.
She manages all aspects of subfertility, including assessment of ovarian reserve; assessment of tubal patency with hysteron-contrast-sonography; assisted conception cycles of ovulation induction, IUI, IVF, ICSI, and social egg freezing; and manages
male factor infertility including surgical sperm retrieval. She performs gynaecological
and early pregnancy scans including 3D and aqua scans; and has a particular
interest in minimal access surgery, both laparoscopic and hysteroscopic.
Apart from sub-fertility, Jyotsna has special interest in managing women with polycystic ovary syndrome, menstrual disorders and menopausal symptoms. She also looks after menopausal symptoms in women who are cancer survivors and women who are BRCA gene carriers and had prophylactic surgery.
Jyotsna is passionate about teaching, training and research in her field. She regularly
teaches medical students and post-graduate doctors and trains health care
professionals at all levels.
She believes in practicing evidence-based medicine and has been actively engaged in
research. Apart from publishing over 35 papers in peer-reviewed journals, she
has authored books, "Evidence based Algorithms – Obstetrics", "Evidence based
Algorithms – Gynaecology", which are best sellers and has been translated in
Turkish and Polish. She organises internationally collaborated webinars
and courses. She is often invited at national and international conference as
keynote speaker on recent advances in reproductive medicine.
She is Menopause care lead for the Barts Trust and Research and Training lead for
Centre for reproductive medicine.
Jyotsna is passionate about delivering safe, effective, and evidence-based care to
patients. She is very keen to educate, empower and involve women and couples in
decision making in every aspect of their care.
She is also fluent in Hindi and Telugu (a south Indian language)
Outside of work she loves cooking and gardening and practices mindfulness.

Dr Pundir is very knowledgeable. From start to the end we were guided on every step of the process. In the first appointment, everything was explained to us clearly. Our plan was to get IVF done overseas but after talking to Dr Pundir we decided to go ahead with Dr Pundir at St Bart's fertlity clinic. We immediately felt understood and cared for, and this feeling continued throughout our treatment. Quite often we forgot to ask questions during our appointment, but Dr assure us that, we could ask questions anytime. This helped make the process seamless and much less overwhelming. We never felt like we were getting anything other than the very best during all of our experiences with Dr Pundir.

I tried to book Dr Pundir at either 5 Harley St or 25 Harley St where Vitality says she practices, however, she does not practice at either location. I then contacted her pa through the Vitality app and was offered Nuffield at St Barts, St Barts or Tunbridge Wells. I asked the pa for an appointment at Nuffield at St Barts and was informed the pa doesn't book appointments for this location and I need to call a different person. I gave up and will try to book with one of the other specialists Vitality recommended. This is the 4th or 5th specialist Vitality has recommended to me on their Countrywide plan who does not work at the stated location.

She has been extremely supportive and readily available to help whenever I’ve had any queries along the way. Would highly reccomend to anyone who may have a had a previous tough time elsewhere. She really put me at ease and I think being relaxed certainly helps!

I struggled with my fertility issues and contacted so many doctors in India and in London. Finally, by God's grace, my husband and I met Ms. Jyotsna Pundir. She is very, very supportive and provided the complete information about the treatment. She provided some tests for myself and my husband. Sometimes I struggle to tell the complete details about my fertility issues (felt emotional) but she listens carefully about my concerns, provides the clear information and gives emotional support as well. During a video call (sometime after her working hours) and direct consultation, Ms. Pundir clearly check my medication intake. Thank you is a very little word to say to her. I would definitely recommend her to my friends.
