Great experience with Dr Deans during pregnancy and delivery. She’s very professional and caring and a competent surgeon. I’ve had an emergency c section and recovered very well - and felt safe for my daughter and I during the all process. Would highly recommend.

I have a scientific background and sought an OB who could speak to me clearly about facts instead of confusing correlation with causation as seemingly the entire prenatal statistics oeuvre does. I also was scared about childbirth and its long-term impacts on my body, and wanted a doctor who could hear my fears and hold them tightly to be a coach and a guide in the very intense moments of labor. A bonus would be if they could laugh at my jokes. In Charlotte I found a hat-trick: a truly brilliant physician and compassionate soul who read me clearly and met me exactly where I was. A doctor who asked how I was feeling and before she offered an opinion in turn, asked me if I wanted to hear it; who, when I look back at pictures from the hours I was in labor and I see her in the background, gives me immediate comfort. A doctor who did, in fact, politely chuckle when I joked around, and who rocked out with us to The Who during labor. At the end of the day the trust she builds with you throughout the prenatal appointments means that in the exhausted, depleted moments of pushing and she makes a judgment call, you just say as you recover your breath: "I trust you, Charlotte." Which you do, completely.

Charlotte is a wonderful consultant. She's extremely caring, responsive, and skilled. I experienced some complications during my pregnancy, and Charlotte went above and beyond to support me both medically and emotionally every step of the way. Despite the difficulties in the run-up to the birth, I had a fantastic birth experience, and I have Charlotte and the midwife team at the Kensington Wing to thank for that. I couldn't recommend Charlotte more highly - she's a rare combination of brilliant and kind.

Charlotte is a great obstetrician who takes her time to understand her patients concerns and goes through every single point patiently. She is very interested in maternal mental health as well which makes a huge difference during such a period of change. She has great bed side manners and the whole process was exactly as she told me. There were no surprises and she supported me throughout the pregnancy and birth.

I could not recommend Charlotte highly enough. Her approach is caring, warm and open minded. She was deeply reassuring and explained everything throughout my pregnancy very clearly and weighing out all the options available to us. It was entirely down to Charlotte that I will forever carry a very fond memory of my pregnancy and labour experience of my first born.

Charlotte was my doctor for the delivery of both my sons and I couldn’t recommend her more. I chose to have elective c-sections on both occasions and she was fully supportive of my decision as well as providing me with all the information needed. She is very attuned to the emotions of her patients and always made sure to check in on my mental health. And whilst she was wonderful in the months of my pregnancy it was on the day of my children’s births that I was 100% sure I had made the right decision. Despite 2 complicated c-sections, through both births she remained so calm and reassuring that I never felt panicked, she is an absolute professional and I felt completely safe in her competent hands. Her whole approach is completely patient centered to focus on mothers which I think is rare and so important.
