Mrs Katya Tambe is an experienced Oculoplastic and Cataract Surgeon, with considerable expertise in treating cataracts and periocular cosmetic problems.

Mrs Tambe received her initial medical training in India before receiving core ophthalmology training at the Birmingham and Midlands Eye Centre. She has since completed multiple fellowships and courses, including a Fellowship at the prestigious Moorfields Eye Hospital and cosmetic courses at UCLA, Los Angeles, a centre of cosmetic excellence.

Mrs Tambe specialises in both complex cataract surgery and oculoplastic/ eyelid surgery. Her ethos in cosmetic surgery is to create natural and gentle outcomes with minimal surgical intervention.

Currently, Mrs Tambe heads the department of Ophthalmology at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. She is regularly invited to speak at national and international conferences and training programmess, and has had work published in peer reviewed journals.

In her spare time Mrs Tambe enjoys trekking and cycling she recently cycled the NC500, and climbed the summit of Kang Yatse 2, a 6250m peak in the Western Himalayas.
