Mrs Joanne Hockey, Consultant Gynaecologist, currently works within the Royal Free Hospital in London. She also sees patients privately in clinics across London including at The Wellington Hospital, The Royal Free Private Unit, and Golders Green Outpatients and Diagnostics Centre in London. She has a wealth of experience in women’s health and urogynaecology, treating conditions like bladder pain, fibroids, prolapse, urinary incontinence, pelvic floor problems, menopause and post-reproductive health.
Mrs Hockey has established a urodynamics unit and highly skilled team focusing on women’s health within the Royal Free Hospital. She also manages a gynaecology clinic focusing on the pathology of the female reproductive system and post-natal care.
Mrs Hockey is also an excellent teacher, leading the undergraduate teaching in women’s health at University College London.Â

Thankyou for raising this, I do hope we were able to address the concerns you had when you emailed after the examination and that you found the advice timely and useful which your reply seemed to indicate. I’m so sorry you were uncomfortable. Unfortunately there are no alternative positions for that examination, and given the level of discomfort we arranged further tests to investigate as this is not a usual finding. If you do have other concerns please do continue the correspondence that we were having to address this over the weekend.
