Mr Waleed Yousef is a highly experienced Consultant Gynaecologist and Minimal Access Surgeon. He is based at the Eastbourne District General Hospital and also sees patients at Spire Sussex Hospital, Hastings.

He specialises in treating patients with pelvic pain and endometriosis, as well as abnormal uterine bleeding, particularly for women with fibroid uterus. He also has an interest in managing menopausal symptoms, and utero - vaginal prolapse without the use of meshes. He has considerable experience performing hysterectomies (open and laparoscopic) and detecting gynaecological cancers early on.

Mr Yousef trained and worked in Egypt, before completing specialist training at The Royal Surrey County Hospital, managing patients with complex histories of chronic pelvic pain and endometriosis. In 2011, he joined the Eastbourne District General Hospital and was made the Minimal Access Lead. He was also instrumental in the development of the Gynaecology Treatment Suite at the hospital. Alongside his clinical work, Mr Yousef teaches courses on hysteroscopy at both a national and international level. He is also a national trainer for outpatient operative hysteroscopy.
