I am a 76 year old and suffered an extremely enlarged prostate that was too big to be operated on by my local consultant. He referred me to Mr. Aho, which I feel was the best decision he ever made. It was a pleasure to meet Mr Tev Aho who was able to fully reassure me of the procedure which was quickly and successfully carried out. Following the review 5 months later I have the satisfaction of knowing I can contact him if needs be. Though I feel I have fully recovered and that will be unnecessary.

Mr Aho was extremely good at listening to my symptoms and then gave a detailed explanation of my condition. He then explained exactly what would happen in the HoLEP proceedure as well as the risks associated. The operation went exactly as explained. He has a lovely bedside manner and I cannot thank him enough for his expertise.

Excellent in all respects. Not least, the procedure was very straightforward with no discomfort and a superb outcome. Pretty much a non-event, unlike the toothache I had two weeks later!

Mr Aho was always polite, helpful and informative

Mr Tev Aho was open, helpful and willing to explain what is going to happen prior to my hospital visit. This was followed up with a clear document explaining everything about my procedure and how they were going to carry it out. At the hospital he was available to discuss the procedure and answer any questions I might have prior to surgery and he took the time to come round to chat following surgery. This was followed up the next morning with another visit prior to my discharge. After discharge, he followed up with the results of my tissue analysis for cancer and wrote to update my GP on proceedings. And finally, I had my three month follow-up appraisal over the phone where I was able to have my progress checked against my pre-surgery condition and expectations.

I am so pleased that I trusted Mr Aho and the HOLEP procedure to solve my enlarged prostate problem. My treatment from start to finish was personal and extremely professional and I felt that I was in safe hands at all times. Thank you, Mr Aho.
