A very positive experience with Mr Kumar providing excellent support throughout. A very open and approachable style gave reassurance and it was obvious that, as his patient, my needs were of utmost importance.
Mr Kumar explains everything clearly and puts you at ease during the consultation.
My thanks to Mr Kumar for providing such efficient and genial care. I was very impressed with the Reading Urology Partnership
All in all I am absolutely delighted with the outcome of the surgery and the improvement in quality of life is wonderful. Thank you!
Mr Kumar was excellent, I came back to him because he was very good last time I saw him for a HoLEP operation about 5 years ago. Thanks
Mr Kumar provides a friendly and professional service. I would be pleased to recommend him.
All good. Professional
Mr Kumar explained things well and ensured that the best procedures were carried out to minimise problems with my large kidney stone. The stay at the hospital and all the staff were very caring and Mr Kumar was very professional and caring as well making any anxieties lessen greatly. I felt I was under good hands.
Always a good experience
Mr Kumar explained clearly the procedure for a HoLEP operation and I was happy for him to proceed. After the operation at the Berkshire Independent Hospital he came to the ward to see me and I was happy to tell him there were no side effects. I was allowed to go home later in the day and within a few days I was feeling much better.
I am very pleased with the HoLEP procedure I received under the care of Reading Urology Partnership. The examination carried out prior to the operation, along with a full explanation of the procedure and expected outcomes, was thorough. The operation was successful and normal healthy functions were regained in a matter of few days.
I had been experiencing difficulties caused by an enlarged prostate which included needing to urinate frequently. I was referred to Mr Sunil Kumar at the Reading Urology Partnership and, following some tests, the HoLEP procedure was recommended and then undertaken. I spent one night in hospital and after a short period of recuperation, I have been able to enjoy life better and have regularly experienced a full night’s sleep, something that I had feared might never again be possible. Mr Kumar was very attentive both before and after the procedure and explained it all very clearly to me; and it has worked out exactly as he predicted. I would have no hesitation in recommending a consultation with Mr Kumar to anyone who may be experiencing the sort of issues I have mentioned.
I consider the HoLEP to have been a complete success. I experienced minimal pain and discomfort, and although I found the after effects visually disconcerting, they were exactly what I knew (and was told) to expect, and caused little discomfort or inconvenience, and they petered out after 4/5 weeks. I now urinate once (occasionally twice) a night, as against several times pre-HoLEP. There is no longer any annoying repeated urgency, day or night, and no leakage. The expected absence of ejaculate aside, sexual function is entirely unaffected.
