Mr Sameer Umranikar is a Consultant Gynaecologist currently working at the private practise Spire Southampton Hospital and his current NHS base is University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. His areas of specialism are gynaecology, obstetrics and sexual and reproductive health. His areas of interest include fibroids, endometriosis, adhesions, heavy menstrual bleeding and pelvic pain.

Mr Umranikar qualified as a doctor in 1993. He began his training in India and conducted further training in Southampton. He has also trained through the Wessex Deanery and attained a master's degree in advanced Gynaecological Endoscopy through the University of Surrey. He also completed a European University Diploma in Advanced Endoscopy from the University of Auvergne in Clermont Ferrand, France.

Alongside his education and clinical work, he is interested in teaching and innovation. He works alongside the University of Southampton.
