I was referred to Mr Khemani by my doctor to assess my tonsils which were extremely large and blocking my airways. At the initial consultation Mr Khemani was very understanding about my symptoms and recommended a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy.  He  was very knowledgeable and discussed the procedure in great detail.  He provided me with his website so I could research the procedure further. The operation took place 5 weeks later.  Mr Khemani came to see me before he performed the operation.  He was very calm and reassuring and I felt confident that I was in good hands. Mr Khemani came to see me after the operation to tell me it was a huge success.  He gave me an honest description of the recovery process so I was fully prepared for the different stages. Having sounded like I had a cold for the past two years it is so good to now be able to breath easily again and talk in a clear voice.  I couldn't have wished for a better ENT consultant.  Thank you.

I saw Dr Khemani around a month ago having been referred to him by the respiratory consultant. For the last three years or more I had been constantly clrearing my throat. the condition was getting worse but the cause remainded unknown. Dr Khemani quickly diagnosed laryngo-pharygeal-reflux following some simple tests. His initial advice was to take Gavison Advance after meals and before bed time and to follow some dietary advice. One month on and my condition is hugely improved and my quality life restored. I am so grateful to him and his team.

I consulted Dr Khemani having had a sinus infection for a long period and where other treatments including three different antibiotics had not had any effect. Dr Khemani very quickly identified the cause of the problem and organised for me to have a tooth removed. Three months on the infection has now cleared for which I am very grateful. Dr Khemani is highly professional, provides solutions not more problems and clearly explains the options and recommended plan.

Dr Khemani removed our son's tonsils. He was excellent at all stages, from first appointment to last. His care along that of his team whilst our son was in hospital was first class. We could not recommend him more highly.

Wonderful care and support from Mr Khemani when he removed my daughter's tonsils and adenoids. Very reassuring at initial consultation, and kind and chatty with my daughter who was quite nervous. We were accommodated very quickly when we decided to make an appointment to see him. He was brilliant with my 7 year old son and spoke to him very much on his level but without being patronising. Mr Khemani was very helpful and saw us quickly after we'd been referred. He explained our options clearly and effectively, and the operation itself was straightforward and successful. He came into the hospital room while our daughter was still in recovery to update us and saw us again a few weeks' later to check all had gone smoothly.

Dr Khemani has always explained my issues and the best way to treat them. He performed the operation on my ear and it was a complete success. Mr Khemani is a lovely, friendly Doctor, that I would highly recommend for adults and children. My 12 year old daughter was seen by Mr Khemani for other symptoms to do with allergic rhinitis, which resulted in a small operation procedure. From the out set everything was explained to myself and my daughter in detail, making sure she understood and was put at ease giving all the information needed. Mr Khemani was there right to the end until we were satisfied everything had gone as it should. The whole team were all very attentive pre and post op.

Great doctor

I visited Mr Khemani after repeated bouts of tonsillitis and more recently a serious peritonsillar abscess. During my initial consultation Mr Khemani explained the procedures available including risks of bleeding etc. He also was clear that recovery is typically more challenging for an adult compared to a child patient, when most of these procedures are undertaken. He listened to my questions and concerns addressing them all. After giving me the opportunity to consider the options we booked in for a hybrid intracapsular and extracapsular tonsillectomy due to the nature of scarring from my recent peritonsillar abscess. His guidance on how I would recover in the immediate two weeks post operation was helpful and accurate. I was able to return to work after two weeks and now, 6 weeks post operation, I am back to exercising at a good level (>130km bike rides) with no complications.

Mr Khemani performed an adenotonsillectomy on my four year old son, and fitted a grommet in one ear. He was reassuring and helpful, everything went very smoothly and my son’s recovery went very well. I would very highly recommend him.

My sons, husband, father and I have all received excellent care from Mr Khemani. He is a supremely knowledgeable ENT surgeon with a warm manner which inspires confidence. He has efficiently and confidently sorted out problems for us including: hearing loss dizziness glue ear and subsequent grommet insertion adenoidectomy tonsillectomy foreign object lodged in ear rhinitis I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to any child or adult with an ENT concern. Both my daughter and I saw Mr Khemani for different issues and we are both very impressed with his personality, approach, professionalism and knowledge. Unlike some other private consultants, it felt he was really advising in the patient's best interest and not trying to go to surgery quicker than necessary. Mr Khemani did a wonderful job looking after my young son who recently needed grommets as a result of glue ear. Mr Khemani took time to listen to my initial concerns regarding my son’s hearing and having looked in his ears, sent him for a hearing test. The test and examination showed a mild-moderate hearing loss due to glue ear. Mr Khemani explained what glue ear is and took me through the various options we had to improve my son’s hearing. He pointed me to two very good videos on his website which I could use to help relay the options to my husband who couldn’t attend the initial consultation. We opted for grommets and on the day Mr Khemani and team did a great job putting my son at ease and explaining what was happening/had happened at each step of the way. The follow up showed a marked improvement in my son’s hearing. He is still talking about how “Mr Khemani fixed (his) ears”! I know number of people now who have been treated by Mr Khemani (including my mother) and they all have only great things to say about him. His calm and confident manner made me feel well informed and inspired confidence. I didn’t feel pushed into making a decision regarding how to deal with my son’s hearing, but that I was armed with the right information to make the best decision for our family. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mr Khemani.

After suffering from deafness along with a blocked feeling in my left ear and sinus problems for as long as I can remember, Under Mr Khemani’s care I am now regaining hearing in my left ear and sinus and breathing are much improved. Mr Khemani was very professional yet also playful during his assessment of my daughter. Our appointment was precisely on time and we had the whole assessment completed including the hearing test within 20 mins. The audiologist ( sorry I forgot her name) was also very reassuring and had a lovely manner.

I took my 18 year old daughter to see Mr Khemani at Gatwick Park as she was experiencing very unpleasant dizziness when lying down. It was impossible for her to sleep and she was exhausted and struggling to study. Mr Khemani was reassuring and diagnosed her immediately with a condition known as BPPV. He took her through a series on manoeuvres then and there in his clinic room and advised what exercises she should do if the symptoms persisted. She has experienced no further dizziness since her appointment with Mr Khemani that day. I was extremely impressed with Mr Khemani. Not only his knowledge and expertise but his reassuring and friendly manner also. I would highly recommend Mr Khemani.

Presented to Dr Khemani after being unable to breathe through my nose. After trying different medicines with limited success we went for turbinate reduction surgery. I can honestly say that the results were life changing. Can breathe so well now, has improved my asthma, migraines and overall well being. Mr. Khemani is a very kind and informative surgeon. Has a very nice demeanour. Me. Khemani also saw my so at 6 weeks old due to loud snoring. Again, wonderful, put me at ease and gave me the reassurance that we could come back at any time should symptoms worsen.

I recently consulted Mr Khemani with symptoms of nasal obstruction causing difficulties with CPAP therapy. He was very professional thorough and helpful. He has a very cheerful demeanor. The surgery was performed at my convenience as explained and the postoperative course followed exactly the outline he had given me. I experienced minimal bleeding pain or bruising after and have achieved an excellent result. Communication with both my GP and myself has been excellent.

We came to see Mr Khemani feeling unsure as to the best way forward to support our daughter who had previously had grommets inserted but was continuing to struggle with her hearing & consequently behaviour & social interactions at school & at home. We felt fully supported throughout the entire process & Mr Khemani gave us all the time & information we needed during consultations to ask questions & to feel confident with our decisions. It was fantastic that we were able to be seen & have surgery (re-insertion of grommets, adenoids & tonsils removed) all during the summer holidays prior to the new school year & were very well looked after by all of Mr Khemani's team pre &post-operatively. Simply amazing, I think this guy has changed my life - much for the better. I have had a long standing inner ear issue that has pretty much controlled my life for close to what is 3yrs now. In Jan this yr I benefited from a mastoidectomy (shunt procedure) which in truth addressed part one of a problem I had with fluid passing through the correct channels. The procedure improved my symptoms slightly, however the inner ear structure remained blocked and painful. Mr Khamani volunteered a solution to address an issue with the Eustachian tube.... I think you can guess the rest. From the moment I met Mr Khemani I felt comfortable and relaxed in his company. He is incredibly reassuring and empathises with you, no matter what you throw at him. Throughout the procedure he explained what he was about to undertake and spoke of the success he believes I will enjoy given what he had noted during surgery. I have revisited the practice today for a check up and feel I am in a much better place. Thx so much for helping me through my ordeal, I will be forever grateful!

We cannot recommend Mr Khemani highly enough. My 4 and 5-year-old children both had glue ear and as a result, had pretty severe hearing problems. Mr Khemani talked us through the options openly and honestly and advised us on the best procedure for them both to have. We decided on grommets and an adenoidectomy. We opted to have both children in theatre on the same day, and Mr Khemani was warm and accommodating throughout. Choosing to put your children under a general anaesthetic is scary for any parent, but knowing they were in his safe hands helped us all get through the day with no issues. We are very grateful to Mr Khemani for his time and expertise and would recommend that anyone looking for a consultant put their faith in him.

I’ve taken my son to see Mr Khemani twice now, once for tinnitus and most recently for persistent nasal congestion. Both times Mr Khemani was incredibly kind and very thorough. Most recently Mr Khemani diagnosed allergies and my son was prescribed nasal sprays and offered allergy testing. I arabella carvosso had been to so many types of doctors had been hospitalised for days no one privately or on NHS could find the right diagnosis.
