Mr Richard Hartley is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in all aspects of shoulder and elbow surgery. His areas of interest include arthroscopy, shoulder osteoarthritis, shoulder replacement, rotator cuff repair, clavicle fixation, and tennis elbow. He currently works at Poole Hospital, Royal Bournemouth Hospital, and Wimborne Hospital. Private patients can book consultations at BMI The Harbour Hospital and Nuffield Health Bournemouth Hospital. Mr Hartley qualified in 1987 with his MBBS from the University of London. He undertook his higher surgical training in Nottingham where he also spent time training at the renowned shoulder and elbow unit at Nottingham City Hospital. He then completed further upper limb training in Derby and Mansfield Hospitals before training in Perth, Australia with one of the country's leading upper limb surgeons before working as a locum consultant.
