    About

    Mr Rajesh Kucheria is a consultant urological surgeon with a special interest in kidney stones. He currently works across several hospitals, treating a wide range of urological conditions.

    Mr Kucheria works with patients who are dealing with blood in their urine, prostate enlargement, kidney stones, urinary tract infections (UTI), erectile problems and urological cancers. He also sees patients requesting vasectomies.

    Mr Kucheria has been a consultant since 2012. After completing his urological specialist training within the Imperial College Urology Rotation, Mr Kucheria was awarded the Simpson Smith Travelling Fellowship. During this fellowship, he was able to strengthen his skills by visiting centres of excellence abroad to obtain further specialist experience.

    Mr Kucheria now teaches at a number of international courses and also frequently attends specialist courses and conferences. He is also the clinical governance representative for BMI Hendon Hospital.

    Mr Kucheria dealt with my kidney stone problem very efficiently and with the minimum offer effects / pain. Additionally, and very importantly, he provided me with verbal and written information about my condition including what short term effects I might encounter. On a few of occasions, I needed to call with an urgent question / problem. I received a reasonably timely response (not always speaking to him directly though). In one of these issues (temporary incontinence), it might have been good to know in advance that I might be faced with this.

    Absolutely first rate. Informative, calm, patient, professional and made my horrible kidney stone experience as bearable as he could. Charming, humorous when appropriate.     I underwent treatment for kidney stones in July 2017 and was under the care of Dr Raj Kucheria. The kidney stone experience was not pleasant but I was lucky to have such an excellent Dr in Mr Kucheria who was professional and highly efficient throughout, who took his time to explain all the procedures that were necessary and nothing was an issue for him.
