Mr Paul Haslam is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Knee Surgery. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Sheffield in 2004 and completed his training in Sheffield. Following his training, Mr Haslam completed three fellowships in New Zealand and Australia and developed his expertise in knee surgery. He is also a Trauma & Orthopaedic Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons.
Mr Haslam has extensive experience in knee surgery and has performed over 3000 knee arthroscopic procedures including over 600 ACL reconstructions and over 1000 knee replacements. During the past 15 years of his career, Mr Haslam developed a specialist day-case ACL service and an arthroscopic treatment technique for Baker's Cysts. He has also treated several professional sports players including squash, rugby and football players.
He is based in Doncaster and Sheffield and currently sees private patients at Park Hill Hospital and Kinvara Private Hospital. He is also the Clinical Director of the Trauma and Orthopaedic Department at Doncaster in his NHS Trust. He sees patients with both common and complex knee conditions, including the following:

My first consultation with Mr Haslam was July 2023 where he gave me a monovisc injection. This gave me some relief for my forthcoming holiday. However he said I needed a total knee replacement. I had my operation December 2023. My operation has given me my life back as I was in constant extreme pain prior to my operation. I can't thank Mr Haslam enough. His open honest manner gave me confidence in him. I felt comfortable in being able to ask him anything I was concerned about. The treatment I received not only the operation but the aftercare was excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Haslam

Having been told by the NHS my BMI was too high for knee replacement and I wouldn't be listed until I lost weight, I went to see Mr Haslam in a pretty bad state. From the start he was reassuring that it was possible for me to have a successful knee replacement dedpite what I had been told by the NHS. Apart from making me feel like less of a pathetic fat loser (!!) he gave me genuine hope that my knee and therefore my life could improve and for thar I will always be grateful. He is that rare combination in consultants, a genuinely kind approachable person with great skill and expertise. 3 and an half months post op and my new knee is going really well and constantly improving. I feel I am getting my life back after years of pain. I highly recommend Mr Haslam to anyone considering knee replacement surgery.

Mr Haslam is a very nice person. I was made to feel at ease and he listened to everything i had to say. I was totally informed about risks, procedure and recovery. on follow up appointment's his manner never changed he really cares about you as a person. I could not of wished for a more pleasant cosultant.
