Mr Abdelhamid graduated with honours from Cairo University Medical School in 1998 before completing a research and MSc degree in 2002, followed by a surgical residency training programme at Cairo University Hospital in 2003. He undertook his advanced surgical training in Cairo before relocating to the United Kingdom, where he completed research at the University of Birmingham and trained in general and vascular surgery in London. Mr Abdelhamid worked at St Thomas' Hospital, King's College Hospital, St Mary's Hospital, and Kent & Canterbury Hospital before completing a two-year Endovascular Fellowship in Australia. In 2017, he was appointed as Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon at St George's University Hospital.

Mr Abdelhamid is an excellent surgeon with a charming demeanour that makes the patient feel confident and comfortable with him. His explanions from consultation to pre- and post- surgery confirm his skills,experience and knowledge of the condition that he is dealing with. I could not have chosen a better surgeon to deal with the vascular problems I had with my leg and foot. Amazing bed side manners ,very kind and very considerate and patient in dealing with my questions throughout my dealings with him. I had no doubts about him as the surgeon of my choice. Dr Abdelhamid has been great since my first consultation all the way through to the last follow-up after the varicose vein surgery. The approach and different techniques were explained very well and with confidence. The latter always the best attribute of a doctor in my opinion. The results of the surgery were as expected and without complications.

Mr Mohamed Abdelhamid, performed a radiofrequency ablation operation for my vericose veins. He was great at explaining what the problem was and how we would perform. The operation went very well and I am already feeling much better.

The consultation and operation on Varicose veins in both my legs was quick and efficient. I had spoken to my GP about the veins on three separate occasions over 10 years or so. My legs had got more and more discoloured over this period. It was only after the operation that it became apparent how much pain and discomfort had increased. I wish I had done something sooner.
