Wonderful experience to put right a great deal of pain I was suffering due to hallxus rigidus. Upon my initial visit, Mr. Williams assessed the situation quickly, talked through my xray with me clearly, patiently answered my questions and was fantastic before and after the surgery. His manner put me at ease. He quickly answered a few questions I had post surgery via my physiotherapist (as was doing video physio calls due to lockdown) .I consider myself lucky to have had such great care.

Highly recommended! I could not have dealt with a more considerate and obviously highly skilled surgeon. From my first appointment, Mr Lloyds Williams explained my treatment options carefully and patiently to help me make informed decisions on my care. I was and am very grateful to him. To have had such an excellent outcome after surgery was a great bonus!

I was recommended by two doctors to see Mr Williams and so I was fortunate to be able to come under his care. His communication was good before and after the operation and he covered everything involved thoroughly. He warned that the recovery period would be long - it is now some 18 months since I had the procedure - and was attentive when I had a problem with swelling. In fact this had nothing to do with the operation. I am now able to walk well - I've been completing a series of good cross country walks across a variety of terrain. I never expected to be able to do this. In addition I've now completed a full year's boatbuilding course. I could not have done either of these before the operation. By choice I'm still having physio and still complete ankle strengthening exercises. I feel that I have a lot more that I can now achieve and none of this would have been possible without Mr Williams attention and surgery.

Mr Williams was highly recommended to me by more than one doctor. He was good at explaining all issues related to the ankle fusion and the reasons and risks of my operation. It is now eightenn months since the operation and I am extremely pleased with the outcome. There were subsequent issues with swelling, Mr Williams was attentive even though the reason had nothing to do with my operation. I knew at the time, it would take some time to feel the full benefits of the operation but I am glad that Mr Williams completed the procedure. Recently, to get my exercise I've been going for long walks as we live so close to very open country. My ankle has held up very well, even though I was initially concerned that it could be hurt walking over rough terrain. I've also completed a one year boatbuilding course and I was on my feet all day every day. Again the ankle did everything it was supposed to. I could not have done either if I had not had the operation. I am still completing physio exercises on my ankle and remain confident that I will still be able to achieve more. I would not be able to complete the exercises, nor be able to look forward to doing more without Mr Williams.

I came to have a screw removed from my left foot following an operation three years ago. Mr Lloyd Williams was pleased with the procedure, but obviously I will have to wait until I have had the stitches removed until I can see what the result is. I was pleased to come back and see Mr. Lloyd Williams again and pleased that he was able to remove the screw which had been troubling me for some time.

Mr Williams operated on our 14 year old's foot. The whole experience was extremely positive and smooth and the surgery and recovery were a breeze. Mr Williams was really good at dealing with our son and explained everything clearly to all of us. I particularly liked how warm and caring he was, not at all distant and unnecessarily formal. He really put our son at ease. It was clear that Mr Williams was determined to get the best possible outcome for our child and this we have achieved. The foot has healed beautifully with minimal scarring. I would recommend Mr Williams to anyone needing foot and ankle surgery.

Mr Williams was fantastic when I saw him first in the hospital I would give him a 10/10 But the follow up procedure has been sadly lacking only a 2/10 I have called + called - I asked that I was sent unencrypted emails even sent a letter but again today I receive encrypted letters + emails The secretaries I feel let Mr Williams down badly It has taken me weeks and weeks to get to have the ‘wave’ treatment even though I keep calling - I have been told the wrong info: not covered on WPA when it is I have asked for a report for WPA which I have not been given Where do I go from here I really do not know but both my provider WPA + myself are totally fed up. With the aftercare.

Mr Williams has helped me through several surgeries and he is the perfect skilled Consultant/ Surgeon. Has a perfect manner, is clear but not alarming with the truth, but is a highly-skilled Surgeon who is at the cutting edge of his specialty. He really cares for his patients, referring to colleagues for other services as appropriate and checking to see all is as it should be. Introduced him to my husband, who benefited greatly from 2 low pain, keyhole bunion surgeries, opting to stay in 1 night in hospital and out of pain in a few days. Contrasts significantly from patients not having knowledge or access to someone of Mr Williams’ calibre.

Although the patient is not privy to the goings on in the operating theatre, it is obvious that Mr. Williams takes great pride in doing excellent work as a surgeon. He paid close attention to the particular combination of problems with my foot and advised me in detail on options and tradeoffs for this combination. He was especially helpful in advising me on how to treat these problems in order to be ready for surgery. He has worked closely with my chosen Physiotherapist before and after the operation, which has made a positive difference to my recovery. He and his Assistant respond quickly to questions and have good judgement on what can and cannot be handled by phone or email. They are both a pleasure to work with, and have helped make this experience as light as possible.

Mr Williams did double bunion surgery for me at the King Edward VII hospital 7 weeks ago. As soon as I met him I could see I was in good hands! He is extremely kind, approachable, professional and skilful. I have been putting off surgery for years but have been pleasantly surprised by the recovery - I was walking on day one with very little discomfort. Follow up has also been very good and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Mr Williams.

The surgery Mr Lloyd Williams carried out on my left foot over 5 years ago was totally successful and, to my surprise, was carried out without my having to suffer any pain or even much discomfort whatsoever so it was without hesitation I asked my GP to refer me to him once again this year for almost identical surgery on my right foot. I am pleased to report that this operation was likewise a total success and I am very grateful to Mr Williams for his expert care.
