I have recently had a hernia operation carried out at the Nuffield Hospital, the consultant / surgeon who carried this procedure out was Keith Poskitt, who explained all that was involved and performed his role in a very professional manner. All in all he carried out a first class operation on me.

Some degree of discomfort during convalesensce from this procedure must be inevitable with the limitations of contemporary medicine, but I was back on my feet the next day and to my normal level of activity within two weeks. I have been advised to avoid heavy straining for a total of six weeks. My recovery was swift and any pain was completely manageable, analgesics only being required for the first five days.
