Mr Kambiz Hashemi first qualified from Birmingham University Medical School in 1973. He then did his postgraduate training at United Birmingham Hospitals, including Birmingham Accident Hospital where he conducted a study on Trauma, leading to his MD thesis.

Mr Hashemi took the post of Consultant in Emergency Medicine in 1985 with a focused interest in hand surgery, starting the first open acute hand clinic in Surrey.

Since then the hand clinic at Croydon University Hospital (CUH) has been providing a comprehensive service for the acute and chronic upper limb disorders, working closely with Rheumatology and Neurology services at CUH.
