Mr Joshua Jacob is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon currently working for the Ashford and St Peter's hospital NHS trust. He specialises in hip and knee replacements, keyhole surgery, forefoot bunion surgery and complex trauma.
Following his undergraduate education, Dr Jacob undertook surgical training in Durham, he then studied a Biomedical Engineering Masters at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (Stanmore), completed his Postgraduate Orthopaedic training (London) and attained specialist fellowships in ‘Limb Reconstruction and Advanced Trauma' and ‘Sports Surgery and Joint Replacement' at Rowley Bristow unit at St. Peter's Hospital.
Dr Jacob is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) and is an International Member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). He has also received awards for the Best Paper Presentation at British Trauma Society 2008 and the RNOH research grant scholarship. Furthermore, Dr Jacob has numerous publications and offers courses to GPs, for example, Sports Injuries of the knee. His personal interests include playing Squash and Badminton at club level, playing piano and guitar and local church activities.
