Everyone told me I was too young to have a THR, however 40 + years of football / martial arts and otherwise mistreating the body in the gym, I needed it! The pain I had prior to surgery was debilitating. I reached out to Jonathan to gain his professional opinion and the bone on bone condition was confirmed. We scheduled the op for a couple of months from the consultation. At Chelsfield, I again met with Jonathan on the morning of the op and he ran me through the whole procedure again and answered any questions I had. First rate attention to detail. I felt at ease, and having opted to not have the epidural I knew the next time I would be awake I would have a new hip! Jonathan Walczak is a genius in my view, I am 100% recovered and needed very little medication beyond the first 5 days and was fully walking again within 3 weeks with no crutches. I have found Jonathan to be polite, courteous and extremely professional at all times. Very satisfied with my outcome, no limp, fully recovered and no more nighttime tears!

Jonathan Walczak, what an amazing surgeon. Kind, empathetic, and skilled. I have not been able to run for over ten years and today I got on a treadmill and completed my first jog. I am so grateful to Jonathan for listening to my concerns and replacing my knee. I explained to him that I did not just want to replace my knee to be able to walk without pain, but I wanted to return to an active life. I have now returned to the gym and taken up fencing. It is still early days but I am full of hope and optimism.
