Dealing with Vascular Access complications quickly/efficiently & safely.
This is an area that is not commonly avialable in the independent sector and I am one of the conultants willing to offer this service and having set up this service in the NHs over 10 years agoi I have the required expertise & back up to provide a very good service.
I qualified as a doctor in Sri Lanka and came over to the UK for postgraduate training in surgery. I have undertaken all my Higher Surgical Training in the UK and have trained at King's College London, Guys & St Thomas', Bighton, Medway, Canterbury as well as John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where I did research for 4 years. I completed my D.Phil (PhD) at the Nuffield Department of Surgery, University of Oxford in year 2000 and after completing my Higher Surgical Training in the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Deanery I was apointed as a Vascular and General Surgery Consultant at the Kent & Canterbury Hospital, East Kent Hospitals University Foundation NHS Trust in 2007. I undertake undergraduate & postgraduate training and I am the Royal College of Surgeon Tutor at the Kent & Canterbury Hospital. I am also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the King's College, London.
I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons specialising in Vascular Surgery. I am a memebr of the Vascular Society of GB & Ireland, I am also a life memebr of the Sri Lanka Medical Association.
