Mr Maclean is a Consultant Ophthalmologist, he graduated from Edinburgh University and began my ophthalmic career in the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. He completed my training at Newcastle, including fellowships in plastic surgery there and in Sydney Eye Hospital, Australia.

Mr Maclean clinical practice encompasses all general eye conditions, however, he specialises in cataract surgery and plastic surgery around the eyes including a tumour and growth removal. He also specialises in surgery for watery eyes and droopy eyelids as well as artificial eyes.
