I would highly recommend Mr Htwe Zaw. I have been seeing him for the osteoarthritis in my feet for 8 years now. I always felt he had time for me, and have never felt rushed. He has always listened and taken on board everything I have said and been keen to discuss the potential risks as well as benefits. I have had two injections into the joints (under sedation) and later in the disease fixation surgery. He also operated on my ankle when I broke it badly skiing. I have had excellent results with my surgery, no longer take pain killers, have lost my limp and can literally walk for miles now with my dogs having found walking them and do stairs really difficult before.

Treatment and explanations of procedures excellent. Delay in recovery not assisted by global pandemic. Since physiotherapy has commenced seeing further improvement. Recovery plan again explained very well.

I accompanied my mother to an appointment with Mr Zaw after she had broken her toes. My mother has a number of underlying conditions which affect her mobility and nervous system, and Mr Zaw was extremely thoughtful and sensitive to this and went significantly above and beyond to ensure she was safely able to attend the appointment. He took her complete health profile into account when giving his advice with regards to treatment and recovery, and his recommendations were thoughtful and practical. Mr Zaw explained everything very clearly and his empathy and patient care were excellent.

Mr Zaw was sensitive, thorough & informative about the expected outcome of my broken metatarsals. He was the ideal doctor & I cannot rate him highly enough. It would be wonderful if all doctors attained the same standard.

I had an operation with Mr Zaw in December 2019 and I am extremely pleased with the results! I had a nasty ingrown toenail which had been getting progressively worse for about 10 years. It now looks like nothing ever happened! There's no scarring and no reoccurrence at all and it's a huge relief to be able to wear shoes without any pain. He has an excellent bedside manner, great sense of humour and he made me feel really at ease throughout the whole process (this was actually my first time going into hospital/undergoing a surgical procedure plus I was awake for the procedure!) He explained things clearly and in a detailed way that I would understand. I couldn't recommend him enough. He is a lovely man, a very skilled and compassionate surgeon who really cares about his patients.
