Mr Hooman Sherafat is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon and until recently Lead Clinician at the Royal Eye Unit, Kingston Hospital NHS Trust. As an experienced Ophthalmologist, Mr Sherafat performs operations such as cataract surgery in addition to his specialist interest in Ophthalmic plastic, lacrimal and reconstructive surgery.
Upon qualifying from St George's Hospital Medical School in 1992, Mr Sherafat undertook higher specialist training in Ophthalmology at Guys and St. Thomas' Hospital and the world renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital. It was there that he later completed further sub specialist fellowship training in the field of Oculoplastic. Today he is a member of the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society (BOPSS) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
Mr Sherafat has great experience in the field and a keen interest in cataract surgery including all types of premium intraocular lenses and treating all aspects of oculoplastic disorders ranging from lid malpositions to non-surgical periocular rejuvenation..

Excellent and made every effort to explain the procedure as it progressed. I think most people are somewhat nervous about their eyes and I found that very reassuring.

Excellent experience. Very impressed by it all. Very personal approach. Consultants can be very snooty, you are the complete opposite. I would recommend you to anyone with no reservations.

Mr Sherafat was very gentle and kind. He explained the procedure and made me feel safe. The surgery he did on both eyes was good and the follow up reviews were straight forward.

Mr Sherrafat was polite, patient and made me feel completely at ease. The whole experience was almost enjoyable!! I would thoroughly recommend him for such a procedure. Dodo was also very patient and understanding.
