    Mr Guido Michielon is a consultant paediatric cardiac surgeon at the Royal Brompton Hospital, where he specialises in neonatal surgery. He sees both private and NHS patients.

    He graduated from Padua University with honours and went on to undertake cardiac surgery clinical training in the United States. During this time, he worked in some of the country's most prestigious cardiac departments, including Boston Children's Hospital and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He has extensive training in adult, congenital, paediatric and neonatal cardiac surgery.

    He joined Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital in Rome as an attending paediatric cardiac surgeon in 2001, specialising in aortic root and paediatric valve replacement. In 2012, he became a paediatric cardiothoracic surgeon at University Medical Centre Groningen in the Netherlands, and in 2015, he joined Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals.
