Dr Fadi Alkherdahji is an ophthalmologist based at the following practices:

Dr Alkherdahji gained his medical qualifications in 1997 in Syria before undertaking general surgical training in ophthalmology in Cheltenham. He undertook surgical retinal training at Western Eye Hospital in 2005 and undertook a fellowship in medical and surgical retinal diseases in Singapore the following year. in 2007, he was awarded a fellowship to further train in cornea and refractive surgery at the University of San Diego whilst also working with a leading refractive surgeon at CODET Eye Centre in Mexico. Following this, he set up the Eye and Ear Hospital in Damascus and was based there until his return to the UK in 2012 when he joined Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Trust.

In 2012, Dr Alkheradahji formed Theia & Co, which offers its patients laser and non-laser refractive surgery. More recently, he co-founded Newmedica with his colleagues, which now has locations in Swindon and Gloucester. He has undertaken over 10,000 cases and has 10 years of experience in the field.

I was so impressed with Mr Fadi Alkherdahji. My cataract operation was difficult but Fadi made me feel at ease and comfortable. At the end of the operation I had my eye sight back. Excellent surgeon.
