Doctor De Robertis goes into great details to explain all the options and helps to steer towards optimal solution. What was great about this experience is that I was given clear steps which were well explained and reassuring. Overall, I received a great care from Doctor De Robertis and his team and Harefield Hospital staff were superb also.

Seeking a competent surgeon within 2 years of failed heart surgery after what I had been through was a daunting task requiring much due diligence. I knew that a second attempt at a cardiac myectomy so soon had serious risks but my health was deteriorating. From the moment I met Fabio I felt comfortable. He was prepared to spend whatever time necessary to explain what must be achieved, the risks involved, and the resources around him for this 8+ hours of surgery. I cannot recommend Fabio highly enough for his skill, care, and interest in my recovery.

Mr De Robertis is charming and excuse the pun but my heart opened to him and his manner. Everything he said and did was carried out without a hitch. In a personal discussion with a friend who until recently was also a surgeon although in another field reviewed the discharge letter and was greatly impressed with content.

I chose Mr De Robertis based on his experience with doing '' Off Pump'' CABG using mammary arteries over veins. It didn't hurt when my research showed he once trained with Magdi Yacoub and done some charity work in Africa ! My experience of the operation , where a minor issue was dealt with expeditiously and aftercare by Mr De Robertis and his team at the Harefield was excellent in every respect. Despite being an obviously hard working surgeon this is also a compassionate and attentive surgeon with a great bedside manner. I couldn't have hoped for a better surgeon and a better outcome ! Last but not least backed up by a great PA , Debbie Waddon , calm polite and efficient.

I am so pleased that my cardiologist recommended Fabio De Robertis to carry out my surgery which comprised a replacement aortic valve and two coronary bypasses. Notwithstanding his excellent technical competence, Fabio is a charming and personable man and I was confident of the outcome from the day I met him. For anyone requiring this type of surgery, I would offer an unconditional recommendation.
