Mr Derek Robinson is a Consultant Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon at the Royal United Hospital, Bath and Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases following his appointment in 2005. He is particularly interested in forefoot surgery, ankle arthritis, sports injuries and complex trauma. In 2005, he was awarded the European Travelling Fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery in 2005 and has trained under leading surgeons in this field throughout the UK, Europe and North America. Mr Robinson is the Head of Surgery at The Royal United Hospital.
As a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Mr Robinson limits his practice exclusively to dealing with foot and ankle problems. Due to his highly specialised field of interest he is often sent patients with complex problems for a second opinion. He is very passionate about achieving the best possible outcome for all patients.
In his spare time, Mr Robinson enjoys walking his dog and maintaining his small holding and area of woodland. He also enjoys going to the theatre and cinema, reading and eating out.
