“I first met with Mr Gidden before Christmas. Following a steroid injection not alleviating the condition, I was scheduled for surgery and subsequent physio. The surgery was done with the nerves to the arm blocked. I was in surgery in the morning and was able to go home after lunch. My recovery was impressively quick with increased mobility almost straight away. The incisions are small and fully healed within a couple of weeks. The pain relieve was sufficient and now I only have the physio exercises to return the joint to the strength and mobility of the other shoulder. I am very pleased with the care and result. Thank you “

Mr Gidden is an excellent surgeon, he fully explained the procedure and all the pros and cons of having surgery. I found Mr Gidden easy to talk to and he put me at ease and reassured me whilst I had the surgery. I would highly recommend Mr Gidden. The surgery was very successful and I am now very thankful to be out of pain.

The consultation was straightforward and my options were clearly outlined. I had an operation shortly afterwards which has been a total success - I have a massive improvement in my range of movement (almost 100% within 2 weeks) and the pain has been completely alleviated. Mr Gidden performed a couple of extra procedures whilst he was ‘in there’ which will prevent further problems with my shoulder at a later date. Mr Gidden was approachable and made me feel confident that I was in a safe pair of hands.

I made an appointment to see Mr Gidden with reference to what was supposedly a frozen shoulder after being in excruciating pain. A thorough examination revealed this was not the case at all, it transpired to be neck related. Due to Mr Giddens actions, I was sent to A&E with a letter which duly resulted in me being admitted on the same day and then being treated for pain, and also an MRI scan which highlighted my problem. This I don’t think would have happened had it not have been through Mr Giddens intervention, and I thank him for this.

Mr Gidden treated me for what was earlier thought to be a frozen shoulder. Iwas quickly told after being examined that was not the case, and was duly sent to A&E on Mr Giddens findings with a letter that actually got me admitted, and this then resulted in an MRI scan being done to pin point my problem. I don’t think this would have taken this course had it not have been for Mr Giddens intervention and help, this I’m sure speeded up my diagnosis.

From day 1 I was listened to and was given options as to which treatment to have and what the pros and cons were. Surgery was quick and recovery fast with immediately noticeable Improvement. I was back at work after only two days of sickness and even before the stitches were out. Physio since has been excellent and my return to full fitness is imminent. Sincere thanks to all involved.

Diagnosis made very quickly and treatment offered very swiftly. So far I don't have full movement back but it is hugely improved and I am pain free now.
