Mr David Duffy is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in knee surgery. David studied Medicine at Newcastle University. He then spent a number of years working in Australia before returning to the UK to undertake specialist Orthopaedic training in Yorkshire.
Mr Duffy's expertise in knee surgery was gained from UK fellowship posts in Leeds and Harrogate, before he returned to Australia to work with leading knee surgeons, Dr Peter Myers and Dr Peter McMeniman, where he gained experience in treating elite sportsmen and women.
After Mr Duffy returned to the UK, he worked as a Consultant at Wrightington Hospital Orthopaedic Centre of Excellence. He then moved to Harrogate in 2010.

A very affable Consultant who encouraged open discourse and showed a willingness to listen and obtain the patient's case facts first. A clear assessment and explanation of Clinical evidence, in this case an MRI scan. Also provided a candid opinion and options going forward prior those involving any commitment to surgery.

I can highly recommend Mr Duffy for anyone considering knee surgery; throughout my appointments and surgeries I have always found him very empathetic and appreciative of other medical issues to ultimately get the best outcome for me.

This was the first time I had seen Mr Duffy and it was a private appointment. I have a long term mobility problem, the result of a mountaineering accident years ago and needed an opinion and advice on how best to keep the mobility that I have. He very quickly recognised the problems that I now face and stated clearly the options that I have and his considered opinion on them. He gave me people and things to follow up. This was perfect for me.

From the first consultation to the final consultation, very informative, explained how the whole operation would play out & explained recovery time expected. Very professional & felt at ease & relaxed that i was in safe hands about the whole partial knee replacement, would definitely suggest to trust Dr Duffy.
