Mr Rossouw is a very experienced shoulder surgeon. He qualified in 1982 in South Africa. He then went on to complete his Orthopaedic training in the UK under the guidance several leading shoulder surgeons in London and Reading. He is a Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals, where he runs the shoulder unit. His experience means he is often a source of support for colleagues when seeking opinions for more complex cases.

His enthusiasm for teaching makes him a popular trainer. He teaches shoulder surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons as well as training and examining for FRCS (Orth) examinations.

His main specialist interest is shoulder surgery – particularly shoulder joint replacements using traditional and new minimally invasive techniques. He treats all conditions of the shoulder including sports injuries, rotator cuff injuries and shoulder instability or dislocations.

His enthusiasm for his field and surgery and his ability to explain conditions clearly puts his patient's at ease. This passion for surgery is only matched by his love for classic motor cars.
