    About

    Mr Clive Spence-Jones, Consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician, currently works within the Whittington Health NHS Trust and several private clinics in central and North London. He is very experienced in performing surgery for pelvic floor reconstruction, using natural tissue without a hysterectomy and mesh – a technique that he is a pioneer of and is regularly invited to speak on.

    Mr Spence-Jones qualified in Medicine from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School (now known as Imperial Medical School). Following his qualification, he underwent specialist training in gynaecology and obstetrics in institutes in London, Cambridge, and Canada. He also undertook a General Surgery Fellowship.

    Mr Spence-Jones is an active researcher, with numerous chapters written for textbooks and has regularly been engaged in research. Previously, he has held the position of President of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Section of the Royal Society of Medicine. He has held his current consultant role for 25 years, having previously been the Clinical Director for his NHS Trust.
